SAN ANTONIO - We are three days away from full Wemby mania taking over Spurs Nation.
And since the highly anticipated NBA prospect, Victor Wembanyama, will be the No. 1 pick, let's take a look at his contract.
He's slated for a four-year, $49.4 million rookie contract, according to Spot Rack. He will make about $11 million in his first year. That contract is double to what the No. 11 pick in the draft will make.
Wemby also said in a recent interview that he'll be heading to Portland to meet with Nike after the draft.
But one big question remains, will Wemby play in summer league?
Well Wemby himself confirmed that he'll most likely play a bit in summer league, but not that much.
The 2023 NBA Draft is Thursday night and our sources are telling us that he'll be arriving in San Antonio around 2 p.m. Friday on a chartered plane.
The Spurs are holding an introductory press conference on Saturday.
And on Draft Night, don't miss our News 4 Wemby Watch Draft Special.
