Reagan High School student scores life-changing tech internship at NEISD (NEISD)

SAN ANTONIO - A local Reagan High School student, Corrine Kinlaw will be a junior and plans to know a lot more about NEISD's technology services after a life-changing internship this summer.

Corrine along with other students will be working for NEISD's Technology Service Department as an intern.

“I applied for this job because we have been doing in-class lectures and practice scenarios," Corinne shared. "But I thought this was the best way to apply what we have learned in class and get real-world, hands-on experience.”

With her growing interest in computer science, she was drawn to apply for the district's Institute of Cybersecurity and Innovation.

This program will allow her and others to learn and practice hands-on defense against cyber-attacks.

Corrine has earned two industry-based certifications (IBC) from her internship and has proven that she has the basic knowledge to work in the technology department that supports over 60,000 students and teachers.

NEISD has granted her the opportunity to earn IBCs with her first job as an intern and giving her a head start in her career.
