The Brahmas have San Antonio football fans hopeful despite uncertain future
There is no memory shorter than that of a San Antonio pro football fan. No matter how many football leagues come and go, we are all in. The XFL and the Brahmas season is here, and San Antonio is all about it.
The Meet the Team event drew a few hundred fans, all dressed in black and gold, screaming and asking for autographs.
People are posting their BBQ grills on social media, all decked out with the Brahma’s logo and ready for the tailgate. One of them is Captain Brahma, he is dressed like a superhero and is recording a theme song.
The Brahmas have not played a game. We do not even know the players. You would think after all the teams, all the leagues, we might be a little guarded, but not in San Antonio.
San Antonio football fans are like that puppy. If you are gone for 3 weeks on vacation or just 3 minutes to the mailbox, the enthusiasm to greet you at the door is just the same. We love football.
So, paint your face, scream, and yell, tailgate, buy the t-shirt, and hang it in the closet next to the Charros, Torros, Wings, Gunslingers, Riders, Texans, Force, Talons, and Commanders. Maybe the 10th time is the charm. Go Brahmas.
