News 4 has confirmed reports that the San Antonio Spurs doctors flew to France last week to check out Victor Wembanyama.

And all is well with the physical.

He is now officially set to become a Spur on June 22.

The Spurs doing their normal due diligence gave physicals and worked out all of their potential draft picks.

Wembanyama has had some injuries to his leg and back over the past few seasons, but he's been injury free this year and plays Friday in Game 3 of the French Finals.

But don't worry, he'll be at the NBA Draft next Thursday.

Then the Spurs are holding an introductory press conference on June 24. Not sure yet how much, if any, he'll play in the Sacramento Summer League, but we do expect he'll play at least some in Las Vegas.

And on Draft Night, don't miss our News 4 Wemby Watch Draft Special.

I'll be live in Brooklyn and we'll have live reports from the AT&T Center, the Spurs War Room, expert guests like Sean Elliott, Antonio Daniels and Mayor Ron Nirenberg.
